Don’t miss a chance to add this adorable one of a kind handmade dressed critter to your bear collection. Abby Bear is from the TSminibears July 2019 Japan Dream collection. The artist Tatiana has discontinued making bears for some time and her special crochet dressed bears are hard to find.
Abby Bear is wearing her original beautiful hand crocheted dress made by Tatiana Skalozub. The dress closes romantically in the back with a ribbon laces and can be carefully removed. The dress bodice is taupe with pastel lace ruffles. Abby Bear wears a crochet flower on her head.
Abby will come in the TSminibears 3.5 inch box shown with her original hand written tag. Abby is disk jointed to allow swivel positioning of her head, arms, and legs. Abby can not stand without support but she sits very nicely on her own. Abby came to me with a few imperfect patches where her fur is thin - I think these flaws are on account of the difficulty of constructing her so small. The fur flaws on her legs are near the seam closures in the back and do not usually show, please see photo of her back. There is another small fur flaw under her chin which is hidden by the dress - this thin fur is visible in the photo where her dress is held up. There is an additional color flaw on the top of her head where some dark toner seems to be out of place and there is also a spot of thin fur on the back of her head near the seam closure - see photos. These flaws are present because Abby was handmade by the artist and it is quite difficult to turn out small fur parts on this miniature scale - Abby has never been played with and has only been undressed once.
Abby has been displayed as part of my beloved doll/bear collection in my home in a glass cabinet. I purchased Abby for 150€ directly from the artist through Bear Pile.
This is not a toy for young children due to small parts.
