New, in-box. Only took out of box to be able to take photos to show items.
Original owner, purchased to be able to use, but never did. This is now a vintage, hard-to-find item.
As the tag states, it is top-grain cowhide leather. As this is genuine full-grained leather, the scars, briar marks, or discolorations may appear on the grain of the leather and that is the guarantee of the quality of the full grain leather.
Indentations in the leather in the pen stand where the pens have laid flat in the box.
