    This is a vintage, fully jointed artist teddy bear, Benny the sailor bear. He is 8 inches tall, made from mohair with glass shoebutton eyes. He has a hand-made sailor collar.
    He was made in 1990 by bear artist Jeanette Demanovich of Glendale, AZ. Never exposed to smoke, perfume, scent of any kind. He was a gift to me when I owned a teddy bear shop. I had written an article about Jeanette for
    Teddy Bear and Friends
    magazine. We were friends for many years.
    I put the bear away until now. He is gorgeous, but I think it is time for him to find another collector's home. Jeanette made wonderful bears. So much love and care put into each one.
