Motorola MT500 Secret Service Receiving Earbud and Transmitting Mic! Works!. This piece of electronics is amazing. They were engineered to be used inside garments for stealth communications.  I bought this  over 20 years ago, tested it with a working Motorola MT500 2 way radio and it worked!  I am selling most of my MT500 equipment and found this as I was inventorying what I had.  I hooked it up to a working MT500 (same connection as the shoulder mic) and it still transmits by pushing the mic button and receives by the earbud!  By the way, I have 3 working VHF MT500s that talk to each other on two simplex channels for sale under separate listing.  As you can see, the apparatus is museum quality. No cracks in the wires, rubber on earbud is flexible, wires are flexible.  I have never seen one before or since for sale. Motorola MT500 radios and electronic gear were used by the Secret Service when Jimmy Carter was president and into the early Ronald Reagan years.  Motorola USA craftmanship at its very best.
