Queen of Hearts

Description

This is the original doll and clothing from my book "The Doll's Clothes Storybook Collection"
published by David & Charles. Available on Ebay and Amazon.
The Queen of Hearts is a reproduction of a French antique doll by Thuiller, c.1870-90.
She is a porcelain doll standing 51cm (20in) high.
The gown is made from satin backed crepe, satin, and organza with ribbon, antique lace,
and decorative braid trim. The hearts on the Tablier are padded. The jacket has an antique
lace collar. Underneath she wears a camisole, pantalets, bustle, and full half-petticoat.
Her Slippers (not shown) are soft red leather with little pink hearts.
