Scarlet O'Hara

Description

This is the original doll and clothing used in my book "The Doll's Clothes Storybook Collection"
published by David & Charles. Book available separately on eBay and Amazon.
Scarlett is a reproduction of the German Miebling (My Darling) doll. She has a porcelain head
and jointed composite body. She stands 61cm (24in) high.
Scarlett is dressed in her spring green 'bar-b-que' dress made from 100% cotton with velveteen
waistband and satin ribbons. The bodice is self-lined with three rows of ruffles edged in dark green.
The Dress fastens at the back with snap fasteners. The self-lined Corset is boned and laces up
the back with eyelets and ribbon. It is edged with lace. Her Pantalets are full-length. The legs
decorated with eyelet lace threaded with ribbon. She wears a taffeta hooped Petticoat with two
rows of boning to hold out her very full skirt. Her Mary Jane Slippers are cotton lined velveteen
with tiny bows. Her Parasol is made from silk polyester.
