Seiko Optical Products of America introduces 1.74 Semi-Finished Single Vision Tintable High Index Hardcoat lens with Surpass Easy Clean Plus AR coating. Seiko 1.74 Semi-Finished Single-Vision Aspheric features Surpass ECP AR with outstanding Super Hydrophobic and Anti-static protection. Seiko 1.74 lenses are the thinnest and lightest finished photochromic lenses available. With the added benefits of the factory applied anti-static Surpass ECP AR patients receive the best optical performance. Surpass ECP AR performs as well or superior to broadly promoted brands. It is engineered to counteract deterioration due to UV, humidity and normal temperature fluctuations.

    “Our new finished and semi-finished 1.74 products are a high-performance, affordable alternative to other, more expensive 1.74 lenses,” said Mike Rybacki, Seiko Optical’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. “They use Seiko’s patented and proven MX aspheric design, which includes a spherical fitting button in the center, and feature a factory applied AR coating with SuperClean, a super-hydrophobic topcoat that protects the lens and makes them easier to keep clean.
    Rybacki noted that the 1.74 semi-finished lenses feature Seiko’s new high-index HDC4 hardcoat, which includes a shock absorbing primer and extra-thick hardcoat and an extra-large range that is sufficient for the majority of prescriptions."
