Sequoia Tree Bar

Description

This gorgeous bar was originally purchased at an art show, sold by the artist Joni Hamari who found this naturally fallen Sequoia tree on her grandfather's property in Oregon. Both the counter slab and the primary structure came from the same tree, which was expected to be well over 100 years old. The bar is topped with three panels of tempered glass, custom shaped to match the tree's natural profile. Excluding the counter slab and the glass, the entire tree structure is made from one piece - no joints. The Hamari went through the painstaking process of applying a finish to the bar to preserve and enhance its natural beauty. As can be seen from the first photo, the right side of the bar's surface has begun to slightly drop over the years, which will require work to bring it back in plane with the rest of bar's level surface.
