Here is a wonderful, ONE OF A KIND,
signed by the artist, Brenda Dewey, 1989,
fully jointed, golden mohair, 14 inch tall, DEWEY BEAR in excellent, super clean and bright condition.
This charming and very sturdy teddy bear has a swivel head with dark brown glass eyes, shaved snout, stitched nose, mouth and claws on his curved arms and legs with large flat pads
and mohair tail
. He also has a pronounced curved back with distinctive shoulder hump and wears his original,
red,
white and
blue
wooden stars and ribbons attached to "flag" printed, wire-framed ribbon with an
original antique metal, DEWEY
campaign
pin
around his neck. He also has his cloth numbered, identification label sewn firmly in one leg seam. Also he is further identified by his printed, booklet type wrist tag (with orig. price sticker) which is
signed by the artist
along with the information that she is
charter member #39
of the
American Teddy Bear Artists Guild
(1985).
Dewey
is in excellent condition having only one previous owner. He has no fading or stains, no holes, odors, damages or repairs, from a smoke free home and will make a wonderful addition to any collection.
