Description

From a Tucson, Arizona collector's estate:
In 1988 Sotheby’s held a series of auctions for the purpose of selling the Andy Warhol Estate.  A large and eclectic cache of objects that was crammed into Warhol’s six-story townhouse amounted to 2,526 individual lots. They were sold in six separate auctions conducted over 10 days.
This is the catalog of Warhol's Contemporary Art collection. Andy had a large and wide-ranging collection including significant pieces by Robert Rauschenberg, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Claes Oldenburg, David Hockney, Roy Liochtenstein and Willem de Kooning.
Both sculptures and paintings are included.
Obviously the auction catalog is full of professional photographs, many in color. The catalog is both an historical document and a wonderful and important reference work. Imagine having a document showing the works Picasso collected from his contemporaries.
Condition is very good.  All pages are clean and unmarked.
Please examine all of the photos carefully and ask any questions before bidding.
