The volumes are bound in a cardboard folio. The cover has some shelf, edge, and corner wear as well as discolors. The entire folio is bent (see the pictures). Some of the addresses have writing from the postmaster and there is a name written on the inside page. Other than that, there is no writing. The binding is solid.
