This is a wonderful and impeccably embroidered vintage suzani prayer rug 69s. Unique exquisite hand embroidery with pure silk threads.  It is so magnificent and can be ideally used as a decoration for your home. The year of manufacture is embroidered on suzani (see photo). There is a lining. (0190)

The basic fabric 100% cotton.
Condition: This fabric is in original, unwashed as found condition with light storage dust. There are some faded areas, small spots and one large spot and a hole in the middle of the product( please use the zoom feature to view condition ) but generally it's just amazing ! Not perfect, but perfectly wonderful uniqueness!

Are you interested in what suzini? Suzani is a general term for embroidered dowry items (coverlets for a wedding bed or decor for beds, tables, walls and etc) that women of Uzbekistan have been producing for hundreds of years. According to local canons, a suzani was started to embroider, every time a girl was born. It is an old preparation custom for girls dowry. The design features a tree of life, a fanciful garden, stylised pomegranates symbolising abundance and fertility, brightly coloured tulips and carnations on a vast desert-like brown field. In addition, the canvas contains elements that protect people from negative energy.
