  • Condition: Silver horse head has significant tarnish staining on back of head in crevices-I did not attempt to clean or polish. Light scratches can be seen as well, from age and usage. Gold clip has some bumps and flaws, that could be from usage or most likely just the way it was made. It is apparent that this piece was handcrafted. Very nice detail. Paper money must be slid inbetween horse head and gold clip, similiar to using a paper clip-gold clip does NOT open. This is the way this piece was designed/made.     Vintage chunky horse head money clip, Circa 1980s, for your favorite cowboy!
    HORSE HEAD is stamped 925 and hallmarked WIEN. Could possibly be marked S R Wien or some type of emblem on top of the name Wien; but cannot make it out.
    Clip itself is 14K Gold, this verified by two local jewelers, whom I brought it to, in hopes they could recognize the maker mark. Sadly, they couldn't....
    Piece has nice weight to it-my jewelry scale only goes to 20 grams and this piece read: ERROR so it is over 20 grams!
