Vintage "Porridge" Barbara's Originals "HONEY CUP BEARS" Soft MOHAIR w/Growler

DESCRIPTION:
I'm offering today one of my beautiful mohair Artist Bear's by Barbara's Originals out of Florida in 1997.  This bear is a larger bear with beautiful soft, long off-white or cream mohair.  He is fully jointed at the neck, arms and legs.  He has large brown German glass eyes.  His stuffing is 100% polyester, pellets and leg weights for posing.  His fur is English Mohair which is so soft and plush to the feel.  His pads are wool felt with embroidered brown yarn for his nails.  On the bottom of the pads Barbara indicates this bear is the "Prototype" which would be the first bear of this series of "25" bears.  His name is "Porridge" by Honey Cup Bears in 1997.  It's not too often you find the "Prototype" of a custom designer bear.
He has the largest ears which make him look so cute.  His nose is a long snout with light brown embroidered thread.  His head wobbles side to side and his joints are loose so you can pose him in many different positions.  He has a humpback which is so desired by bear collectors.  When you lay him down or pick him up, he has a loud growler....oh so cute!  He is wearing a custom knitted jumper in shades of muted purple with muted pink accents.  There are porcelain buttons which decorate the front of the jumper.  This artist is quite talented and oh so creative.
The original tag which hangs down from "Porridge's" arm reads:  Page 1 - "Honey Bears by Barbara's Originals, Limited Edition of 25, "Prototype", Hand made, Number One".  Page 2 - "Dear little Porridge sometimes he looks sad, so sweet and innocent with a face you can love.  His mummy has told him to always be good, be kind to others, do a good turn when ever he can, to set his goals high, go for his dream and reach for the sky".
I'll be adding two other mohair bears from my own personal collection.  My bears have been stored in air tight containers, so they look just as they did the day I received them.  There is no smoking in my house, never has been and never will be.  I try to keep a tidy home free of odors.
SIZE:
This is a large bear standing approximately 16" tall.
CONDITION:
He is a vintage bear, but in new condition.  Has been stored in air tight container and never been displayed or played with.  Comes with original hang tag by designer.
